The cherry on top of its handcrafted line of spirits, McMenamins has introduced small batch bitters, the latest in the company’s 20-year history of making spirits from scratch at its two Portland-area distilleries.
Developed in collaboration with its in-house cocktail team and inspired by herbal folk medicine, McMenamins distillers brought forward their experience working with a variety of botanicals and natural flavors in developing bitters that would complement its own ever-evolving list of Northwest inspired cocktails, as well as the repertoire of home bartenders alike.

- Locally roasted cacao nibs, herbs and Mexican red peppers create a spicier version of the traditional Chocolate bitters, adding depth and intrigue to sweet or savory sips.

1 Shot Hogshead Whiskey
¼ Shot Kirsch (or Maraska /Luxardo)
½ Shot Chocolate Cherry Shrub
6 dashes of McMenamins Aztec Chocolate Bitters
Shake and strain into a bucket glass with a large ice cubes
Garnish with an Amarena cherry on a pick
