Using barrels fresh from our own distillery or winery, we house a seasonal selection of coffee beans for three months of aging – at which time the beans absorb the barrel flavor, then we roast them, bag them, and send them to our gift shops. The flavor that the spirits have imparted on the coffee gives it a nice whiskey aroma and flavor without the alcohol content.

Hogshead Whiskey Barrel-Aged El Salvadoran Coffee
Aging beans in a freshly emptied Hogshead Whiskey barrel, over the course of three months the coffee takes on aromatics of oak and butterscotch along with flavors of deeply caramelized sugar with a smoky, oak finish. This is not your average cup! Tasters are often surprised by the first sip, curious at the second and enchanted by third. Rich and full-bodied, it is reminiscent of whiskey without the alcohol.
